We’re sometimes asked to help a student out with their academic research. We’re very happy to help if we can. So can you help out someone who’s fascinated by the Cockney lingo and is doing some important research?
Emilie is a student at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz in Germany.
“I have spent 8 wonderful months in England in 2012. Some
friends told me about Cockney Rhyming Slang, I thought this would be a great topic for my presentation =D.
Now my teacher told me to make a
survey for my second presentation, about ‘young British people using rhyming slang’ and why it has kind of a ‘revival’ nowadays (does it at all?) (Good question Emilie – Uncle Fred).
So I designed a questionnaire, but since I only know a few ‘young British’ friends and my teacher said I’d need a lot more responses, it would really be SO cool, if you could help me by putting the link on your website!! There are only 6
questions and I PROMISE everyone can do it in under 5 mins! =)))”
We’ve asked Emilie to share her findings, so guys and gals, please go ahead and fill out the survey:
